Objective Inflammatory changes in the amniotic membranes during prenatal period have a critical important rupture of and onset labor. The inflammatory caused by normal vaginal labors cesarean sections (C/S) are different than each other. Nuclear factor-kappa B (Nf- kB) is basic cellular marker inflammation change biological fluids tissues. We planned this study to compare fluid NF-kB (AF-NF-kB) concentrations labor cases those who underwent non-emergency C/S. Methods One-hundred singleton term pregnant women did not any serious fetal maternal problems were included study. separated into two groups, which contained 50 each. week gestation was calculated according last menstrual ultrasonography measurements. groups patients history clinical chorioamnionitis preterm premature decided labor, section due or perinatal reasons. samples collected After opening scalpel C/S following spontaneous artificial membrane cases, collected. AF-NF-kB evaluated ELISA method. Results levels group significantly higher group. about 2 times (1.44±0.40 ng/ mL vs. 0.71±2.60 ng/mL, p<0.001). There positive but insignificant correlation between birth weight no significant demographic characteristics Conclusion Normal associated with increased compared cases. seem be potential predictor for rupture.
